MaryLou (McDonald) Kegley, 80, of Needham, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, in Greenwood.

She was born April 25, 1937, in Indianapolis to Charles and Mary (Morris) McDonald.

She retired as a deputy recorder for Johnson County, working at the Johnson County courthouse. MaryLou was an artist and a quilter. She was a member of the Homemakers Club and of Rocklane Christian Church. MaryLou enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her family. She was a great cook and baker. Her family said she was always on the move.

MaryLou is survived by her husband, Jackson J. Kegley of Needham; three children, Karen (Joe) Vergara of Greenwood, Pam (Kenny) Boyd and Robin (Jeff) Bousum, both of Indianapolis; two sisters, Jackie (Jerry) Keller of Greenwood and Louise Carrol of Indianapolis and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary McDonald; three brothers, Bud McDonald, Louis McDonald and Ronald “Ronnie” McDonald; and two sisters, Irene Hinderliter, and Marge Settle.

The family will be hosting a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 N. U.S. 31. Rev. Seth Amerine will be conducting a funeral at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Acton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Rocklane Christian Church building fund (ARISE), 4430 Rocklane Road, Greenwood, IN 46143.
