GREENWOOD
Frederick Stanley Wright, 81, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday evening, April 30, 2017.
He was born April 27, 1936, in Royston Hartfordshire, England to Frank Cecil Wright and Una Waterer Wright.
Frederick was a member of the Royal Air Force.
On Sept. 12, 1959, he married the love of his life, Betty Chapman Wright, who survives. Frederick and Betty moved to the United States in 1972.
He worked for Rutgers Packaging Co. as a printer for more than 25 years. After retirement, they moved to Greenwood and worked at the Greenwood Public Library.
Frederick had a passion for art and enjoyed oil painting. He also enjoyed playing cards and working in his garden.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mrs. Betty Wright of Greenwood; one son, Martin Wright of Paragould, Arkansas; one daughter, Jane (Scott) Sickels of Carmel; one sister, Una Dennis of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
All services for Mr. Wright will be private.
