Margie Mae (Davis) Smith, 73, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, in Indianapolis.

She was born May 25, 1943, in Burkesville, Kentucky, to Edward and Ruth (Webb) Davis.

She was a nurse’s aide at Greenwood Village South, for 20 years. Margie was a member of Heartland Church of Christ in Greenwood.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles and Facebook.

She loved St. Jude Children’s Hospital and donated frequently.

She enjoyed watching basketball, especially the Indiana Hoosiers.

She loved talking to her siblings daily on the telephone. Margie was an old-fashioned woman, who enjoyed the “simple things” of life.

Most of all, she was a God-fearing woman that loved living a Christian life.

Margie is survived by her husband, James Smith of Greenwood; two children, John (Laura) Smith of Cohutta, Georgia, and Angel Robinson of Greenwood; one sister, Barbara (John) Hagan of Franklin, six brothers, Tony (Malu) Davis and Harlie Davis, both of Greenwood, Jerry (Patty) Davis of Burkesville, Kentucky, Eddie “Cliff” (Edna) Davis of Cloverdale, Thomas “Clayton” (Edna) Davis and James “Cless” (Yvonne) Davis, both of Burkesville, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Jordynn Robinson, Taylor Smith and Madison Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ruth Davis; and two sisters, Tammy Hollenbeck and Selma Dodson.

The family is conducting a funeral service at noon Saturday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Harris Cemetery in Bargersville.
