Greenwood truck stop sees rash of thefts

Police are investigating a rash of thefts and criminal mischiefs at a Greenwood truck stop.

At least eight semi trucks parked at Road Ranger, 1615 E. Main St., were damaged or had goods stolen from them between 10 a.m. Friday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Truck seals and rear doors were removed from at least seven semis, according to reports from the Greenwood Police Department.

Multiple vitamin boxes were missing from another semi, according to reports.

The owner of the land reported that the fence had been damaged and cut at two places, which would allow someone to get to the property, the report said.
