BROWN COUNTY
Lois A. (Dowell) Ackerman, 85, died on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the IU Health-Hospice House in Bloomington. She was a resident of Brown County.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Mike) Fishel of Martinsville; siblings, Betty Fleetwood of Morgantown, Doris (Harold) Cox and Sara (Larry) Johnston, both of Morgantown, and Linda (Lew) Worcel of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul X. Ackerman Sr.; and son, Paul X. Ackerman Jr.
The Rev. Rick Miller will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
