Kenneth L. Swain

Kenneth L. Swain, 56, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017.

Kenneth was born Aug. 9, 1960, in Indianapolis to the late Jeanne (Miles) and Thomas Swain. He attended Center Grove High School and graduated in Honolulu, Hawaii. Kenneth served in the United States Navy on the USS Consolation.

He owned and operated SwainCo. Crawl Space and Basement Repair in Greenwood and was known as the Grandfather of Crawl Spaces. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family and especially going to his grandkids’ ball games.

He is survived by his wife, Natalie Swain; four children, Adam Swain, Josh Swain, Amanda Smith, Michaela Swain; three stepchildren, Wes Simpson, Natasha Simpson, Marcus Hogue; sister, Luanne Kempf; 10 grandchildren.

Viewing will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Faith Community Church, 6801 S. East St., Indianapolis. A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be at 1 p.m. Monday at church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery immediately following the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
