Alvin L. Crane

Alvin L. Crane, 93, of Nineveh, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, at his home.

Alvin was born on March 12, 1924, in Indianapolis, to Pope and Freida Crane.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Patricia (Gorby) Crane; three children, Barry (Carolyn) Crane, Brenda Larkey and Bruce Crane; nine grandchildren, Brian (Kimmy) Larkey, Jordan (Tiffany) Crane, Dana Larkey, Brittney Crane, Kelli Bennett, Jacob Crane, Kristin Larkey, Eli Crane and Duke Crane; and three great-grandchildren, Jailyn Larkey, Avery Larkey and Reiley Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters.

Alvin served in the U.S. Air Force, Navy National Guard and Army National Guard. He was a helicopter mechanic and was trained to work on over 60 types of aircraft. Alvin retired as an E7 master sergeant with the National Guard in 1981.

Alvin enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family.

There will be a private memorial service held at a later time for the family.
