Grizzly Grand Prix bike races coming up

Franklin College’s 38th annual Grizzly Grand Prix bike races take off Saturday.

Grizzly Drive, Branigin Boulevard, Park Avenue and Monroe and Forsythe streets in Franklin will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to serve as the course for the event.

The women’s and co-ed race will begin at 11 a.m. and the men’s race will begin at 1 p.m. Both races are approximately 25 miles in length.

Food trucks will be offering a variety of selections for purchase. The college’s student activities center will provide cornhole boards, footballs, volleyballs, giant Jenga and more for use during the event.

The hub for most activities and spectators will be along Branigin Boulevard, beside the Von Boll Welcome Center.

The Grizzly Grand Prix is sponsored by Franklin College’s Student Foundation. The event is free and open to the public.
