Capes joins South Franciscan office

Dr. Cecilia M. Capes has joined Franciscan Physician Network South 31 Family Care.She joins Drs. Matthew Wolf and Margarita Marlin, whose offices are at 610 E. Southport Road, Suite 205, Indianapolis.

Capes recently completed a family medicine residency with Franciscan Health.

She received her undergraduate and master’s degrees in biology from the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean in Cupecoy, St. Maarten.

Capes is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Trafalgar McDonald’s manager earns honor

McDonald’s Trafalgar restaurant manager Linda Ball was recently recognized as a 2016 Outstanding Restaurant Manager.The award is given to restaurant managers who exemplify a commitment to satisfying guests and demonstrate an overall commitment to providing quality, service, cleanliness and operational excellence, according to a statement.

Leadership group hosts

innovation workshopLeadership Johnson County hosted the Power of Innovation Leadership Symposium on April 19 at Franklin College. The workshop featured guest speakers from around the state and focused on how organizations can improve innovation.

Speakers included Tatiana Kovalou and Brenda Bailey-Hughes from the IU Kelley School of Business who talked about about innovation in action, presenting on how to stir creativity in order to innovate and how to convince others that innovations are worth the investment. Jeb Banner, CEO and co-founder of SmallBox talked about building innovative culture.

In addition to the presentations, participants also attended breakout sessions where they learned more hands-on techniques for fostering innovation in their respective organizations.
