Ms. Caitlyn Gail Lee Switzer, 20, of Waynetown joined several of her family members in heaven on Wednesday morning, April 19, 2017.

Caitlyn was a spirited young woman who was born on Aug. 28, 1996, at Crawfordsville, the daughter of Keith Switzer and Kristy Cromwell. She spent most of her life growing up in the Waynetown community and attended North Montgomery High School and graduated from Whiteland Community High School in May of 2015.

She was a member of the Crawfordsville American Legion Auxillary, was described by her family and friends as a “selfie queen” and loved to ride her 4 wheeler and spending time with animals.

Caitlyn is survived by her father and step mother, Keith and Shannon Switzer of Waynetown; her mother, Kristy Cromwell of Franklin; brother, Corbin Cromwell of Roachdale; maternal grandparents, Jim and Kathy “Bobo” Cromwell of Roachdale; paternal grandfather, Terry Switzer of Waynetown; paternal great grandfather, Glenn Switzer of Lake Placid, Florida; step grandparents, Steve and Marilyn Truax of Crawfordsville; aunts, Dawn (husband-David) Biggs and Denise (husband-Donny) Ottenburg of Crawfordsville. She is also survived by several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. and her two dogs Bandit and Cali.

Caitlyn was preceded in death by her grandmother, Leah Switzer; great grandmother, Mary Switzer; step grandmother, Connie Truax; grandparents, Max and Shirley Parker and her uncles, Kevin Parker and Richard Keith Parker.

Funeral services for Caitlyn will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at “Switzer’s Pond” located at the intersection of county roads 875 west and 200 north southwest of Waynetown, with Rev. Kevin Howey officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the pond from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday.

Because of her love for animals the family recommends that memorial donations be made to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League 1104 Big four Arch Rd. Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Envelopes will be available at the services.
