Mooresville routs Grizzly Cubs

Franklin suffered its seventh loss of the season against Mooresville on Tuesday, 9-1. Alec MacLennan came up with the sole RBI for the Grizzly Cubs (2-7).

Whiteland slides past Greenwood

Whiteland defeated Greenwood in a nail-biter Tuesday, 5-4. The Warriors came back to take the victory after tying the Woodmen in the seventh to force an eighth inning.

For Whiteland (7-3), Austin Cook led the offense by going 3 for 4 with an RBI. The winning pitcher was Luke Helton. The Woodmen fall to 4-8.

Softball

Trojans gain ninth straight win

Center Grove soared past North Central 12-0 to take their ninth win in a row. The unbeaten Trojans took the early lead with a 10-run first inning and never looked back. Nicole Abrams pitched the shutout, yielding just three hits.

Mooresville shuts out Franklin

Franklin was defeated by Mooresville 5-0 on Tuesday. The Grizzly Cubs (3-7) came up with only one hit in the game.

Woodmen defeat Warriors

Greenwood took down Whiteland 6-1 on Tuesday. Both teams finished the night with 3-6 records.

Cougars thump Herron in five

Greenwood Christian routed Indianapolis Herron 21-3 on Tuesday. Morgan Haynes led the Cougars (2-3) with an astounding night, hitting three doubles and driving in seven runs. Bethany Dailey was the winning pitcher.

Franklin takes down Indian Creek

Franklin swept Indian Creek 5-0 on Tuesday. The Grizzly Cubs (7-1) got singles victories from Lexi Wilkinson, Kate Heuchan and Abby Smith. Daryn Hyneman and Katie Purk took home the No. 1 doubles win, while Aiden Smith and Allison Bennett won at No. 2.

Whiteland falls to Columbus East

Whiteland was defeated by Columbus East, 4-1, on Tuesday. The Warriors fall to 1-5 on the season.

Rebels sweep Beech Grove

Roncalli came out on top against Beech Grove 5-0 on Tuesday. The victory advances the Rebels to 3-0 on the season.

Boys golf

Warriors top Braves

Whiteland coasted past Indian Creek on Monday evening by a score of 171-195. Zach Rickets was the medalist, shooting a 40 to lead the Warriors.

Sam Grills and Jacob Johnson finished at 42 and 43, respectively, for Whiteland. Connor Park paced Indian Creek with a 47.

Boys volleyball

Franklin wins again

Franklin swept Indianapolis Lutheran on Tuesday, 25-18, 25-15, 25-13. The Grizzly Cubs rise to 11-1.

Franklin College

Baseball falls to Rose-Hulman

Franklin College was downed by Rose-Hulman at home Tuesday, 19-11. The Grizzlies came charging back after falling behind 16-1, but couldn’t complete the rally.

Nick Wright led the Grizzlies (17-11) with two home runs and five RBIs on the night, while Sam Claycamp drove in three runs.
