Hearts & Darts – April 17

Hearts

Hearts to Bart Weddle for his hard work restoring the cemetery at Smiley’s Mill. It looks better than it has in 20-plus years. Thank you.

Huge hearts to Mi Jefe for hosting a Dine to Donate night for our academic teams and increasing their donation beyond the promised 15 percent. Hearts also to Tessa Key for the great sign advertising our night. Lastly, hearts to our community for coming out to support our teams and dining at Mi Jefe on April 5. We so appreciate the generosity and support for our students.

While browsing through the April 6 Free Time section in the Journal, I noticed that the Greenwood-based Agape Performing Arts Company was featuring students in a presentation of “Les Miserables.” Having seen it on Broadway, I wasn’t expecting much, but decided our 12-year-old granddaughter might enjoy it. Did I ever have to eat my words! The presentation was breathtaking with voices that would rival professionals. These students were from all over Indy and Johnson County. Kudos to the performers and crew for one of the most enjoyable evenings in my memory.
