The Greater Greenwood Community Band will celebrate the end of winter and beginning of spring on Saturday.
The band’s annual spring concert will start at 7 p.m. at Greenwood Community High School, 615 W. Smith Valley Road.
The concert will kick off the band’s 2017 season.
Visitors will enjoy a selection of modern American, patriotic, and traditional pieces selected by band directors Tom Dirks and Ora Pemberton.

This free concert in Greenwood, Indiana, is a “bow tie event” for the band. The audience are less formal. A concert ticket is not required, but a donation of canned goods for the local Salvation Army is greatly appreciated. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
