William E. “Bill” Singleton

William E. “Bill” Singleton 84, Greenwood, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017.

He was born Aug. 26, 1932, in LaPorte, to the late Merle and Grace Becker Singleton.

He married Bobbe J. (Burns) Singleton on Nov. 22, 1975, at Indianapolis, and she survives.

He was a resident of Indianapolis and Greenwood since 1952.

He was active in mortuary service since 1951 and was the owner and operator of Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center on Madison Avenue in Indianapolis.

Bill was a member of Southport United Methodist Church, Southport Masonic Lodge No. 270 F.&A.M. (Worshipful Master 1968), Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine and the Southport Chapter No. 442 Order of Eastern Star.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, with visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Entombment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hall.
