Trojans up record to 6-0

Center Grove collected 10 base hits and rode the pitching of Nicole Abrams to defeat visiting Martinsville on Monday, 5-1.

Junior catcher Jordyn Rudd blasted a grand slam home run for the Trojans en route to her five RBI. Overall, she finished 3-for-3 at the plate, while Abby Herbst and Hanna Burris each produced doubles for Center Grove.

Hauser gets past Lancers

A run in the bottom of the fifth inning proved to be the difference as host Hauser slipped past Edinburgh, 3-2.

The Lancers recorded eight base hits compared to the Jets’ six, but the visitors also committed three errors.

Leadoff hitter Bailey Woodall produced three of the Lancers’ hits, while sophomore catcher Sidney Beier also had three. One of Beier’s knocks was a home run.

Woodall pitched a complete game, walking two Hauser batters and striking out eight.

GIRLS TENNIS
