GREENWOOD
Richard E. Palmer, 86, of Greenwood, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017.
He was born Oct. 5, 1930, in Indianapolis, to Moses N. and Gladys Elizabeth (Hager) Palmer.
Richard enjoyed boating and family activities, as well as RV wintering in Florida.
He was a member of Christian Chapel Church in Morgantown.
He is survived by his loving wife, Retta Palmer; son, Jeffrey Palmer; stepson, Mike Repass; daughters, Terri L. (Ed, deceased) Johnson and DeeAnn (Sam, deceased) Trent; grandchildren, Christopher Sullender, Tracie (Jeremy) Rhynearson, Brandie (Jason) Somerville, Nicole (Brandon) Stockton and Sarah (Alex) Marshall; and 11½ great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at Christian Chapel Church, 6828 W. State Road 44, Morgantown. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Camp Allendale.
