Newman W. Atkinson, 90, of Terre Haute, formerly from Indianapolis, died on Saturday, April 8, 2017.
He is survived by his children, Newman E. (Connie) Atkinson, Susan (Robert) Nelson, Donald (Kathy) Atkinson, Cheryl (Eric) Jones and Russell (Angela) Atkinson, and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verda Monzella Abercrombie Atkinson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Little & Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
