Series of Nineveh pole barns broken-into

Police are searching for the person who broke into multiple buildings in Nineveh during the weekend.

At least three people reported that someone was in their pole barns on East County Road 775 South in Nineveh, according to reports from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

One victim also had debris from a wrecked vehicle in their yard. Officers are not sure if the theft and the accident are related, according to the report.

Here is what was missing in the burglaries:

500 block of East County Road 775S: two chainsaws, a tiller motor, a table saw, a gas can and a motor were reported missing at 7:49 a.m. Sunday.

600 block of East County Road 775S: two chainsaws and a weed eater were stolen and a tiller had been moved, a resident reported at 8:11 a.m. Sunday.

600 block of East County Road 775S: A lock was cut on a pole barn, but residents do not believe anything is missing, they reported to the sheriff’s office at 8:42 a.m. Sunday.

A representative of Nineveh Christian Church found a chainsaw on the church’s property around noon Sunday. That type of chainsaw was not reported missing from the three residents who made reports.
