A woman was in critical condition on Friday, a day after a sign fell on her vehicle in Greenwood.
Kathryn L. Velez, 64, of Indianapolis, was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital on Thursday afternoon after a large sign fell on her vehicle in the 1200 block of North Madison Avenue, according to a Greenwood police report.
She was having trouble breathing and had neck pain at the scene, the report said.
The roof of the vehicle was crushed, the report said.
The sign at the exit of a commercial development north of Fry Road fell about 1:15 p.m., the report said.
