5 things: 4-H Green Run

Local runners can lace up their shoes to help 4-H’ers.

The Color Me Green 4-H Dash will be at 8:30 a.m. July 8 at Scott Hall on the Johnson County Fairgrounds.

What is it?

A one mile Family Fun Run or Walk or a 5K.

How many people are expected to sign up?

Last year we had about 40 people that signed up for the event, this was the first year we opened the event to the public. You do not have to be a part of Johnson County 4-H to participate in this color run.

How did you get the idea for the run?

The idea for this run is a statewide initiative to promote healthy living through Purdue Extension/Indiana 4-H programming. The Color Me Green 4-H Dash happens in all 92 counties across the state of Indiana.

How much does it cost?

Pre registration is $15 per or $25 and is due by June 30/ Cost on the day of the event is $20 a participant or $30 a family.
