Shannon L. (Stovall) Hill

WHITELAND

Shannon L. (Stovall) Hill, 63, of Whiteland, passed away peacefully in the early morning on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in Indianapolis, after a nearly five-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and closest friends.

Shannon was raised in Whiteland, and attended Whiteland Community High School.

She later lived in California and Phoenix, Arizona. She moved back to Indiana in 1985, and resided in Indianapolis until her death.

Shannon enjoyed music and attended over one hundred rock n’ roll concerts in her lifetime. She loved swimming and playing cards with friends.

Her primary joy in life was being a mother. She often recalled it as “the most fun she ever had.”

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Hill of Saratoga Springs, New York; as well as her mother, Leah German; and sister, Teri German, both of Whiteland.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father, Donald Stovall; brothers, Darrell Stovall and Robert Meadows, sister, Donna Brubeck; and aunt, Judith Meadows.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
