Imogene McGaha

EDINBURGH

Imogene McGaha, 89, of Edinburgh, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Homeview Center in Franklin.

She was born on May 7, 1927, in Liberty, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Millard and Betty (Allen) Johnson.

She married Osbert McGaha on May 7, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 2000.

She is survived by sons, Ronnie (Shelly) McGaha and Terry (Henrietta) McGaha, both of Edinburgh, and Jeff McGaha of Columbus, daughters, Brenda (Mike) Todd of Edinburgh, Donna (Neal) Koons of Franklin and Connie (Darrell) Begley of Columbus; a brother, Shirley Johnson of St. Louis Crossing, a sister, Mary Burton of Edinburgh; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Oval, Uril, Omer, Wilbert, Lucian, Willis and Vitis Johnson, and sisters, Pauline Adams, Ruby Curry and Margie Burton.

She was a member of Edinburgh Assembly of God Church.

She enjoyed time with her family and friends, and helping people. She touched many lives.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, IN. Calling will be from 3 until 6 p.m. on Sunday at the church and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
