Carroll Victor Beasley

JACKSONVILLE, FLA.

Carroll Victor Beasley, 74, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a resident of Jacksonville.

Carroll was born on March 22, 1943, in Ansel, Kentucky, to Alger James and Lona Elizabeth (Dick) Beasley.

He married Betty (Anderson) Beasley on May 3, 1997.

Carroll is survived by daughters, Roxie (George) McDonald of Greenfield and Shelly (Gary) McDowell of Greenwood; sister, Kathy Hillenburg of Columbus; stepchildren, Shelly (Scott) Clegg of South Carolina, Brett (Mary) Perkins of Florida, David (Sharon) Baskins of Greenfield, Randy Perkins of Richmond, Stacey Anderson of Florida, Alvin Baskins and Curtis Hanson; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Carroll was preceded in passing by his father, Alger Beasley; mother, Lona Beasley; and wives, Wanda (Baskins) Beasley and Mary Judith (Ballinger) Beasley.

Carroll was a graduate of Nineveh High School. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard.

Carroll worked as a foreman at Allison General Motors in Indianapolis. He retired from Allison General Motors in 1997 in Arlington, Texas.

A celebration of Carroll’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31), Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
