Police: Nothing taken in church break-in

Police are looking for the person who broke into a church in Franklin, causing damage but leaving without taking anything.

An employee at Second Baptist Church, 400 W. Madison St., reported that someone broke into the church through the front door, damaging it.

The damage was discovered Friday morning. The break-in had happened sometime since Wednesday, according to a report from the Franklin Police Department.

A poster was removed from the foyer area and items were thrown around the sanctuary, according to the report.

Nothing was reported missing from the church, the report said.
