Rebels’ Friar signs with Marian

Roncalli senior Jacob Fryar signed a letter of intent to play football at Marian University next season.

Fryar, who helped the Rebels win the Class 4A state championship this past fall, plans to study sports management. He will join a Knights team coming off an 11-1 season.

Women’s golf places third 

The Franklin women’s golf team finished third over the weekend at the Miami Whitewater Classic in Harrison, Ohio.

Keely Townsend shot a 177 for the Grizzlies, tying for first place individually before falling in a playoff to determine the tournament medalist.

Women’s lacrosse routs Trine

Led by six goals from Lexi Ingram, the Franklin women’s lacrosse team cruised to a 19-10 win over Trine on Sunday.

Hannah Grow scored four goals for the Grizzlies, while Morgan McIntosh and Jess Silva added three each.
