Stanley Irwin Flowers

Stanley Irwin Flowers, 83, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born Aug. 9, 1934, in Indianapolis to the late Stanley and Beryl (Spencer) Flowers.

Stanley married Sally Irene Moore on April 2, 1955. She lovingly survives.

He is also survived by three children, Deborah (Steven) Mills, Keith (Teresa) Flowers and Sharon (Perry) Tarbutton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bessie Hamner and Joann Brownfield.

He was preceded in passing by one son, Kevin Flowers.

He was employed by Ford Motor Corp. in Indianapolis as a cutter grinder from 1957 to retirement in 1987.

Stanley was a member of GracePoint Church in New Whiteland.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and metal detecting.

A celebration of Stanley’s life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
