GREENWOOD
Edward Chaney Jr., 88, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017.
He was born Oct. 23, 1928 in Pulaski County, Kentucky to the late Christopher C. and Miranda M. McCallister Chaney.
Edward served in the U.S. Army, National Guard and was very active in American Legion 252 in Greenwood, Masonic Lodge No. 514, Scottish Rite and Johnson County Shrine Club.
Edward is survived by his daughter, Ginger (Skee) Hipszky; brother, Glen (Alisha) Chaney; two grandchildren, Shane (Jennifer) Chaney and Michelle (Justin) Burns; two great-grandchildren, Ty and Jasper; and a good friend, Ginny Anthony.
A celebration of Edward’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., with viewing from noon until the service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
