Franklin shoppers will have another place to get clothing, groceries and household goods when the new Meijer opens in May.
The store is set to open at 7 a.m. May 2 at its location on U.S. 31 at Commerce Drive on the north side of the city, the company has announced.
Motorists will be able to gas up their vehicles about a month earlier when the Meijer gas station opens April 6.
Meijer is the latest big box store to open in Franklin. A Kroger Marketplace opened on Sept. 22 and a shopping center that will feature six shops, including a Petsmart, Shoe Show, Marshalls and Ross Dress for Less is under construction.
