Scoop: Q and A: God Spell Jr

Theatre lovers can check out a junior version of a famous musical next month.

Center Grove Middle School Central will be presenting “Godspell Jr.”

Director Kalie Schmidt tells you what you need to know.

When is the show?

The show is Easter weekend! 7 p.m. April 14 and 2 p.m. April 15.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are $5. Kids third grade and under are free.

How many students are involved?

There are about 45 to 50 total students involved.

What is the show about?

“Godspell Jr.” is a collection of parables told in a fun and light-hearted way.

What is your favorite scene to be in/direct?

The scene with the famous song “Day by Day” is my favorite because it’s when you can really see the cast coming together.

What do you want audiences to get from the show?

We are hoping the audience will remember how simpleton basics of kindness are.

Why did you choose this show?

We chose this show mainly due to the weekend we had to perform it.

How are students getting into character?

The kids are getting into character by taking on and representing the unity that is crucial for this show.
