A woman called police about 9:50 p.m. Saturday after hearing glass shattering at a neighboring home in the 5700 block of Columbia Circle, Greenwood, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s office report.
The homes are in the Wakefield neighborhood, just east of State Road 37.
The woman also said her dog was barking and she saw people wearing dark clothing crossing yards in the neighborhood, according to the report.
Police entered the home through a shattered patio door and saw several ransacked rooms. Jewelry was stolen and a fire safe was open, the report said.
