Hearts & Darts – March 27

Hearts

Thank you once again to all of the volunteers who helped with Greenwood Middle School’s Reality Store. Many thanks to the PTO for providing the wonderful lunch and to the many parents and businesses who helped to make this event possible. Also, thank you to the Indiana Women’s Education Foundation for coming up with the curriculum to guide us through this project. The students really enjoyed the activity and learned a very valuable lesson. We could not have provided this experience without the help of our many volunteers. Thanks again to everyone for making the “Reality Store” a success!

Hearts to the following dental offices for making generous donations for our Socks of Love service project at Indian Creek Intermediate School: Drs. Stacy Johnson, Joel Lanie, Amanda Miller and David Wolf. Also, hearts to Kroger in Franklin for donating to our event. Our annual Sock Hop was a HUGE success, and the addition of the Socks of Love service project will benefit many individuals in our community by providing new socks, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash and a toothbrush. This event would not be possible without the numerous parents and teachers who volunteer to help! Thank you to our wonderful PTO!

Belated hearts to the lady in the Franklin laundromat, who not only washed and dried my clothes, but also folded and paid for the load of clothes. She was absent when I went to pick up my laundry, but I want her to know that what she did was a blessing in what otherwise had been a very difficult day for me.

Belated hearts to the Whiteland Volunteer Fire Department for making it possible for two octogenarians to complete the CROP walk two years in a row. You were so patient and attentive to us, even though we finished last. Bless you!
