Cassie Marie Lamoreaux, 93, of Greenwood, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis.
She was born May 12, 1923, in Binghamton, New York, to William Bebel and Josephine (Libera) Bebel.
She married Claude Richard Lamoreaux on July 11, 1948, in Montrose, Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2011.
She had worked at Bennet’s Market and retired as a bank teller at HSBC at the age of 59, both in Windsor, New York.
She was a homemaker and loved baking, cooking and gardening.
She was a woman of strong faith, a member of Honey Creek United Methodist Church in Greenwood and a former member of Windsor United Methodist Church in Windsor, New York.
Surviving are her son, Craig S. (Tracy) Lamoreaux of Greenwood; her daughter, Joan (David) Chase of Canal Fulton, Ohio; grandson, Jeff (Lisa) Chase of Greenwood; granddaughter, Deanna Kuykendall of Barberton, Ohio; three great grandsons Conner Chase, Braden Chase, Jeffery Kuydendall, and a great granddaughter Cassandra Kuykendall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and eight brothers and sisters.
The Rev. Brad Miller will conduct a memorial service 1 p.m. May 13 at Honey Creek United Methodist Church, 2722 S. Honey Creek Road, Greenwood.
Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 U.S. 31 South (Morton Street), Franklin, is handling the arrangements.
