Lalich earns national honor
Former Center Grove softball star Natalie Lalich was chosen as the NFCA Division II National Player of the Week.
A senior outfielder for the University of Indianapolis, Lalich helped lead the 10th-ranked Greyhounds to eight wins in as many games last week, including four in conference play. She went 13 for 23 (.565 average) with five walks, six extra-base hits and 16 runs batted in.
Lalich had a pair of home runs — a two-run walk-off in the 10th inning to beat Drury and a three-run shot against Missouri.
