Teen arrested on charge of intimidation

A Greenwood man was arrested after he ran a vehicle off the road and tried to get into the other driver’s vehicle, according to police.

Jared M. Wynn, 18, 1642 Stonegate Drive, was arrested on charges of intimidation and criminal mischief.

Police were called to a crash at 12:28 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of West County Road 600N in Whiteland.

A man reported that two vehicles were following him and were swerving at his vehicle while driving at a high rate of speed, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The man said when he turned to escape the vehicles, a vehicle struck his while trying to pass him, the report said. One of the vehicles flipped, the report said.

Two men jumped out of one of the vehicles and began yelling at the man who had been trying to escape them, telling him to get out of the car and banging on his windows, the report said. One of them jumped onto the hood and kicked at the windshield and broke the passenger side window of the car, the report said. A resident in the area called police when they saw the commotion.

No one was seriously injured.

Wynn was released on $2,000 bond.
