Meeting for roundabout discussion open to public

A public meeting to discuss a planned roundabout at the intersection of Smith Valley and Yorktown roads is set for Wednesday evening.

The intersection currently has a two-way stop sign, with traffic on Yorktown Road required to stop. A $1.6 million project to address traffic congestion by constructing a roundabout at the intersection is planned to begin this summer.

The meeting will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Greenwood city building, 300 S. Madison Ave.
