Donald V. Stillabower

Donald V. Stillabower, 86, passed away Thursday morning, March 16, 2017, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood.

He was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Whiteland to Harry E. and Naomi (Perkins) Stillabower. He married Betty J. Ratliff on Feb. 3, 1951. She survives.

Also surviving is one daughter, Dawn Eastburn; five grandchildren, Mark (Katie) Eastburn, Dana (Trent) Petro, Nick Stillabower, Renee Stillabower and Brad (Annie) Stillabower and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in passing by his parents and son, Gary Stillabower.

Don was a 1950 graduate of Whiteland High School.

He was employed by Capital Consolidated as a national sales manager for 25 years. He later worked for Walters Brokerage Company, retiring in 1992.

He was a lifetime member of Whiteland United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Jubilee Masonic Lodge in Whiteland. Don enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid golfer.

The Rev. Joe Wyatt will conduct a Celebration of Don’s life at 2 p.m. Saturday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N, Morton St., (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with calling from noon to service time. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St., Indianapolis, IN.
