Learn how to organize your writing projects

Central Indiana Writers’ Association will present a talk on organizing creative writing projects on March 20 at the Greenwood Public Library.

“How to Organize Your Writing Project” will start at 6:30 p.m. in Community Room A. The library is at 310 S. Meridian St.

The meeting will help writers and would-be writers. Mary Godsey, CIWA member, and her guest, Carol Murschel, will discuss a proven method for organizing writing projects.

The event is free for all writers of all levels.

The CIWA was founded by Cheryl Denk in 1976 and is a community of writers headquartered on the southside of Indianapolis. Its goal is to provide an atmosphere of nurturing and encouragement for those who wish to hone their writing skills.

Members are novelists, poets and essayists writing in all genres. The group meets once a month and provides members with a host of different activities.

Meetings frequently include writing sessions and critique groups. A short story contest is held at the end of each year, which attracts entries from all over the Midwest.
