EDINBURGH
Marion Allen ‘Dino’ Kirkland, 59, of Edinburgh, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
He was born on Aug. 6, 1957, in Anchorage, Alaska. He was the son of Hilton T. and Delia (Cowan) Kirkland.
He is survived by his mother, Delia Kirkland of Central, South Carolina; daughters, Rebecca (Eric) Bridges of Edinburgh and Kelli Adams of Trafalgar; grandchildren, Gracelyn Bridges, Adelyn Bridges, Ava Bridges, Ellarie Bridges, Corey Tharp and Cadence Moore; a brother, Randy Kirkland, and sister, Rhonda (Steve) Clark, both of Central, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Larry Kirkland, Kenneth Kirkland and Ronald Kirkland; and a nephew, Cory Kirkland.
He was an avid sports fan and a free-spirited traveler.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Thursday by Rev. Terry England at Grace Tabernacle Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be from noon until time of service at the church. It was his wishes to be cremated after the service.
Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
