Margaret J. (Davisson) Baker

FRANKLIN

Margaret J. (Davisson) Baker, 90, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.

She was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Shelby County, to Frank and Mabel (Barber) Davisson. She was a 1944 graduate of Scottsburg High School.

She had been a commercial loan officer for Franklin Bank and Trust for 25 years, retiring in 1989. She later volunteered at Franklin Memorial Christian Church. She was a member of Victory Christian Church in Franklin and a former charter member of Whiteland Christian Church.

She was a wonderful seamstress, enjoyed gardening, working crossword puzzles, reading and was an advocate for lifelong learning.

Survivors include her two daughters, Claudia D. Clarkson (Joe) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Christina Reguli (Dennis) of Nashville, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Jessica Reguli (Roderick Trestrail) of Nashville, Tennessee; and a brother, Ted Davisson (Norma) of Scottsburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Baker, and two brothers, Elmer Davisson and Bradford Davisson.

The Rev. Larry McAdams will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Monday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 U.S. 31 South (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time at the mortuary. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Christian Chapel, 6828 W. State Road 44, Morgantown, IN 46160.
