Softball team splits another pair of games

On the second day of the Citrus Games in Kissimmee, Florida, the Franklin College softball team rebounded from a 1-0, 11-inning loss to St. John Fisher by routing St. Joseph’s (Maine) 10-2.

The defeat in the opener spoiled a strong pitching effort by Olivia Paszek, who struck out nine and allowed just six hits.

Monica Collins went 3 for 3 with a pair of runs scored in the second game for the Grizzlies (6-2), who totaled nine hits. Kayla Selzer was the winning pitcher.
