FRANKLIN
Robert M. Masengale, 87, of Franklin, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, in Franklin.
He was born Nov. 11, 1929, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, to his parents, John and Stella (Pogue) Masengale.
He married Garnett Weger on April 17, 1953, in Lawrenceville, and they were happily married for almost 64 years.
He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Gary was a business owner and worked as a homebuilder.
He was a Mason and a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Elks.
Robert is survived by his wife, Garnett Masengale of Franklin; his three children, Robert Masengale and Tina Masengale, both of Franklin, and Candace (David) Berry of Los Angeles, California; and two grandchildren, Jacob Masengale and Alyssa Masengale.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Masengale; two brothers, Jack and Harry Masengale; and two sisters, Jennetia and Phyllis.
There are no services planned at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home, Franklin Chapel.
