GREENWOOD
Richard E. Sampson, 62, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in Greenwood.
He was born March 30, 1954, in Kokomo, to Paul Eugene Sampson and Donna Bell (Allen) Fields.
He married Victoria L. (Allen) Sampson on May 16, 1981, in Kokomo; she survives.
He had worked for Conrail in Logansport.
He was a member of Yeshua’s Society in Indianapolis.
He loved and served the Lord for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria L. (Allen) Sampson of Greenwood; son, Aaron Sampson (Rachele Tryon) of Greenwood; a daughter Cassandra N. Arthur (David) of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Bram E. Sampson and Vincent C. Arthur; and a sister, Teresa Sampson Kessler of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pastor Wayne Grumbling will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 U.S. 31 South (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Yeshua’s Society, 1849 East Pleasant Run Parkway South Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46203.
