WHITELAND
Geraldine (Coop) Patterson, 82, of Whiteland, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, in Whiteland.
She was born June 8, 1934, in Cave City, Kentucky, to her parents, Melburn and Lucille (Roller) Coop.
She worked for the Bendix Corporation for 20 years and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Indiana, 423 Trafalgar Chapter.
She enjoyed sewing quilts, cooking for her family and friends, canning and gardening — flowers and vegetables.
Geraldine is survived by her three children, Dennis W. (Lu) Patterson of Franklin, Connie (John) Patterson Carwile of New Whiteland and Mark A. Patterson of Whiteland; two brothers, Milton “Sonny” R. (Doris) Coop of Grand Junction, Colorado and Paul “Duke” C. Coop of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren, Brandon and Allison Patterson; and four great-grandchildren, Allyssa, Isaiah, Kyra and Lucas Patterson.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Melburn and Lucille Coop; and a brother, Earl Wayne Coop.
The family will be conducting a funeral at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Jessen Funeral Home, Trafalgar Chapel 800 W. Pearl St. A visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh.
