GREENWOOD
Genny “Grams” (Ellis) Mead, 78, of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, in Greenwood.
She was born Jan. 14, 1939, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to her parents, Frank and Ella (Beesley) Ellis.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
Her favorite activities were watching her great-grandchildren play sports, reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching game shows. She also enjoyed bowling and dancing.
Genny is survived by her four children, Frances (Carl) Furgeson of Indianapolis, Robert (Susan) Mead II of Cottonwood, Arizona, Ronald (Jackie) Mead of Bismarck, North Dakota, and William (Melinda) Mead of Surprise City, Arizona; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Esau and Neil Ellis; and a great-grandson, Christopher Jordan Rosado.
A family gathering will be at a later time in Rockport.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel.
