CLAY CITY
Noah Eugene Colburn, a sweet and fun loving 10-year-old, went to Heaven on March 2, 2017, at 6:24 p.m. at Riley Hospital.
He had asthma, but family was notified that he suffered an anaphylaxis reaction. He had the best medical treatment possible, but it was not to be. He will live on by helping other people through the gift of organ donation.
Noah was born Oct. 9, 2006, in Vigo County, the youngest child of Brent Alan Colburn and Missy Cesinger Colburn. They have lived in Clay City, and Noah was a fourth grade student in Mrs. Harrison’s class at Clay City Elementary School.
Noah and his family attend the Good Hope Baptist Church.
Noah played baseball a great base runner, but his favorite way to spend time was playing Xbox, using Go-Pro and making videos to put on YouTube.
He was a kid who liked to tease, have fun, laugh out loud and maybe play a prank or two. He was just a good kid, and full of joy!
His family left behind include his parents, Brent and Missy Colburn of Clay City; his sisters, Mercedes Colburn (Devin Passman), Hannah Colburn, and Bryce Colburn; great-grandparents, Rema Jong (Jimmy) of Greenwood and Marcella Floyd of Patricksburg; grandparents, Jesse Colburn (Linda) of Amity, Patricia Burton (Kenneth) of Franklin, Vicky and Gene Cesinger of Coal City; nephew, Carter Passman and niece Kinsley Passman; aunts and uncles, Brian Colburn, Joshua Colburn (Adriana), Amy Cox (Daryl), Tony Brown, Clifton Brown, Carrie Burton, Mandy Burton, Harry Cesinger, Mandy Cesinger and Sheila Edick (Don); other extended family and his friends from school.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Dickey officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home. The doors of the funeral home will be open at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The family kindly request that flowers not be sent, but that donations be made to the Clay City Elementary School, 681 Lankford St. Clay City, IN 47841.
