William E. Brewer

NINEVEH

William E. Brewer, 89, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at the Franklin United Methodist Community. He was a resident of Nineveh.

He was born on April 8, 1927, in Sonora, Kentucky, to William and Leva (Richardson) Brewer.

He married Sarah Mildred Williams on Nov. 21, 1946. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Don Brewer (Kathy) of Prince’s Lakes, William Brewer Jr. of Nineveh, J.W. Brewer (Rita) of Franklin, Betty Witcher (Ron) of Greenwood and Brenda Brewer of Franklin; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and brother J.T. Brewer of Alabama.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; six brothers and three sisters.

William retired from Prince’s Lakes water department, the Johnson County highway department and the Camp Atterbury water facility.

He enjoyed working in his garden, sitting on the porch watching and listening to the birds and playing his music.

William was a member of the Nineveh Christian Church and the Nineveh Masonic Lodge 317.

A service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Flinn & Maguire F.H. 2898 N. Morton St., Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Johnson County Humane Society or the Nineveh Christian Church.
