Fresh off earning a spot on the Indiana Junior All-Stars on Tuesday, local girls basketball stalwart Mackenzie Blazek of Whiteland added another honor Wednesday when she was named to the Underclass All-State Supreme 15 team by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
Blazek was also the Daily Journal’s Player of the Year.
The IBCA chose the state’s top 15 seniors and top 15 underclassmen along with All-State teams in both categories for large schools (Class 4A and 3A) and small schools.
Center Grove junior Cassidy Hardin, also tabbed as a Junior All-Star team alongside Blazek, was named to the Underclass Large School All-State team. Her former Trojan teammate, Allison Utterback, was an honorable mention Senior All-State pick.
Roncalli’s Paige Saylor was a Senior Supreme 15 selection.
