Show, concert choirs place during invitationals

Multiple show and concert choirs sang and danced their way to grand champion status at local invitationals.

Franklin Community High School’s Bella Voce placed second and Signature Sound were named Grand Champions at the Mooresville Spotlighter Competition.

Franklin’s Heritage Singers and Sensations Show choir and band earned third place. The Show Band placed second. Macey Hicks was named Heritage’s best performer, and Bryanna Gibson was named Sensations best performer.

Caleb Wertz placed fourth for solo awards. Jaxson Deno placed second and Erin Jones placed first.

Center Grove High School’s Sound System won Grand Champion in the Large Mixed Division, CG Singers won the Concert Choir Division and Debtones were named first runner-up in the Unisex Division at the Hoosier Show Choir Classic at Franklin Central High School.

Sound System also received the award for Best Choreography.

Individual awards included senior Matlyn Baker as Debtones’ outstanding performer, senior Noah Wright as Sound System’s outstanding performer, senior Adrianna Goss as third runner-up and senior Taylor Ward as first runner-up for the solo competition.

Whiteland Community High School’s Rhythm Masters Show Choir earned fourth place at Lafayette Jefferson’s invitational. Senior Meredith Cavaleri was named Rhythm Masters’ outstanding performer.
