Blythe E. Burdine, 81, of Edinburgh, passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Franklin Meadows in Franklin.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1935, in Dykes, Kentucky. She was the daughter of William G. and Virginia (Bray) Goodin.
She married Beecher B. Burdine Jr. on July 7, 1952. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1996.
She is survived by sons, Dwight L. (Darlene) Burdine of Edinburgh and William B. Burdine of Indianapolis, daughters, Rhonda C. (Jeff) Simpson and Janet D. (Billy Joe) Burton, both of Edinburgh; brothers, Paul Goodin, Johnny Goodin and Lonny Goodin, all of Kentucky, Robert Goodin of Hayes, Kansas and Wade Goodin of Taylorsville; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, brother, James Goodin, and sister, Elva Fitzpatrick.
She retired from David R. Webb Co.
She enjoyed time with her family, reading, crocheting, and trips to the Smoky Mountains.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday by the Rev. Terry England at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
