EDINBURGH
Steve R. Robertson, 57, of Edinburgh, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.
He was born Dec. 7, 1959, in Indianapolis. He was the son of Oliver R. and Velma (Kindley) Robertson. He married Amanda (Gray) Robertson on May 23, 1992.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Alicia Derringer of Mt. Airey, North Carolina, and Katelynn (Victor) Sandefur of Edinburgh; a brother, LeRoy Robertson of Indianapolis; and two sisters, Deloris Arlene Pettigrew of Rockville and Sherly Everett of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Norma Jean Robertson, Linda Diane Staples and Phyllis Robertson.
He was owner and operator of Oliver’s and Steve’s Trash Service, retiring in October 2015.
He enjoyed time with his family, fishing, welding, and will be missed by his cat, Angel, and dog, Buddy.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday by Reverend Stacy Tucker at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will from 4:30 p.m. until service time.
